In 1947, the Danish company was founded by the then national team goalkeeper Eigil Nielsen. As an active professional sportsman, he had first hand knowledge of the sport's challenges. He revolutionized the football sport when, Select launched the first balls that had a built-in valve and no outside stitches. This meant that the footballs retained their round shape much better. In addition, it gave players the opportunity to make new tricks like headers. Today, Select still produces balls for both handball and football, but the range has also been expanded widely. At Sportyfied we also sell bats, t-shirts, tights and guards, as well as much more from the Select group.
